Esys Automation, a full-service engineering and manufacturing systems integration firm has announced the opening of a newest state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The addition is projected to triple Esys’ manufacturing capability, and position Esys as a leading systems integrator for the automotive industry.

“We are committing a significant investment to help fulfill our mission of providing the highest quality and most advanced automated systems,” said Chris Marcus, CEO of Esys Automation. “This addition allows us to remain in Auburn Hills, which our customers recognize as an epicenter for high tech automation.”

This will be Esys’ third location, joining the Auburn Hills headquarters and the Greenville, South Carolina office which was announced in 2014. The new facility will focus on manufacturing, while Esys’ headquarters will continue focusing on business development and the expansion of its engineering team. The new facility will also contain an interactive office space, allowing engineers operating there to communicate virtually with the other Esys facilities.

“Our immediate goal is to add to our team of top-rated engineers,” said Scott Claxton, Vice President of Esys Automation. “We currently have more than a hundred engineers with a five year plan to expand our team with more than 20 engineers each year. At Esys, we have created a culture that blends staff excellence with a sense of family. This core value has helped rank us in the Top 100 Workplaces in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press.”

“Our new location also allows us to build and test larger systems for multiple customers at one time, helping us better serve the industry,” said Ed Loder, who will manage the new facility. “I am excited to be a part of Esys’ next step in advancing to meet our customers’ needs in the new automotive market.”
